Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Tea of Therapy Directory Terms & Conditions.

All counsellors and therapists at TEA OF THERAPY DIRECTORY go through an enhanced registration process. Please note that all information about the counsellors/ therapist has been exclusively provided by themselves. If you have any questions regarding their profile, please contact them.

We recommend a completion of a Diploma level (or higher) qualification – or a course involving at least 400 hours of classroom-based tuition – before counsellors enter practice.
We must have certificate information uploaded on to your profile before you can advertise with us.

All our counsellors and therapist are self-employed. They all will have the correct liability insurance in place before practicing. All information we receive is given to us by the counsellor or therapist. We want to encourage you to check that this information is up to date.

Professional Body:

Being a member professional body shows that a counsellor/therapist has met the organisation’s criteria in terms of training or experience and means that they adhere to the organisation’s code of ethics and conduct. Counsellors and therapist are obliged to provide us with evidence of professional body membership prior to approving their profile.

Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend a counselling session, please contact your counsellor or therapist directly. The counsellor/ therapist will outline in the contractual agreement what should take place if they cannot attend. If a counsellor chooses to charge for cancellations that is at their discretion. TEA OF THERAPY DIRECTORY is not liable for this.

All counsellors will outline the cost per session or for block sessions if they offer it. Please adhere to their terms and how they would like payment to be made. TEA OF THERAPY DIRECTORY will not be receiving payment on behalf of the counsellors or therapist. Once again in your contractual agreement with the counsellor/ therapist they will outline the payment terms.

Referrals and counselling sessions are confidential. The only people who have access to your information are your counsellor. The only time we will break confidentiality is if your child tells us they have harmed themselves or someone else. In this case, we may contact your GP or emergency services to keep your child safe. We will discuss this with you before we do so. Your counsellor will take brief and concise session notes this will not be inputted on to our TEA OF THERAPY DIRECTORY system. They will keep their notes private and confidential.

TEA OF THERAPY DIRECTORY adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework guidelines, and each practitioner additionally practices according to the ethical principles of their own training organisation.
